Da enemy will try to use those closest to u to get @ u. U must remember: when things are going well, that is when attacks come. Ephe. 6:13-For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood (people), but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

The One and Only
When one is stripped of all the 'things' that provide security, familiarity and comfort, it is then that the individual will return their heart to the one and only Comforter.
A Comforter who is always there and always faithful to lead and protect!
A Comforter who is always there and always faithful to lead and protect!

Song of Songs: What are they talking about?
I've always thought of the Song of Songs as a long love story or poem so to speak.
One that I really didn't need to read. Basically, a book in the bible that I could skip over without missing a beat! I even found some parts to be a little hard to understand...I mean the book literally skips from the lover to the woman to the friends so frequently you can hardly keep up with the conversation.
Well thanks to speaker and author Iva May...I have begun to look at the Song of Songs in a new way!
Could it be that the Song of Songs is not just a love story? Could it be that the Song of Songs is actually a picture of the stages of our spiritual relationship with Christ? Could it be a picture of a spiritual marriage with our bride groom?
The next time you read Song of Songs (come on...it's just 8 chapters!) think about it!
1. First there is a woman who is so taken by her king and although she longs for him she doesn't feel worthy! Aren't we like this when we first come to Christ?
2. Then the king dispells all of the negative things she thinks about herself and redefines who she really is. Doesn't Christ do this with us after we accept him?
3. Then she tells all of her friends how great he is and they long for him as well. After you received Christ didn't you tell others how wonderful he was so that others would desire him as well?
4. Then she begans to get used to Palace life and the king becomes secondary. In fact, the bible describes the woman's hands as dripping with myrrh and although the king comes knocking at the door she doesn't want to get her feet dirty! You know... the I have a headache syndrome!
You know at some point we get so used to walking this "Christian" walk that we forget who we are walking for!
5. Then finally she answers the door and he is gone! She realizes she can't live without him and searches for him desperately! She runs all over the city and ask her girls if they know where her lover is. She ask the watchmen if they know where he is and they beat her!
Don't we often go searching for God after we have turned him away or have somehow missed the mark? And isn't it the ones who are supposed to protect us or be our friends that end up hurting us? It is then that we realize only Christ can satisfy!
6. As she looks for her lover she begans to describe him and recalls all the things he said about her. Funny how after trials we realize who Jesus really is! We realize that God truely is a good God and loves us unconditionally!
7. After finding him and realizing who her lover is and who she is, she tells him let's go tend to the vineyards! After we finally recognize Christ for who he is (not for what he does) and we began to see ourselves through God's eyes we began to realize our purpose which is to help God fulfill his plan on the Earth. Basically our ministry is to tend to his fields and his sheep!
So the next time you read Song of Songs think about what you have just read! This is a perfect example of our spiritual journey with our bridegroom Jesus!
